Hi Anton and Carl,
I have read your last summer discussion thread called "Windows 7 Dynamic
Disks and LDM".
What is the status of current kernel/dm/md out-of-the-box features in
relation to windows dynamic disks?
Something like a table:
MBR
type of volume | simple | striped | spanned | raid1 | raid5
| | | | |
kernel version | | | | |
mainline | R/W | N/A | N/A | R | N/A
stable [...]
longerm [...]
GPT
[...]
And also maybe some todo/roadmap...?
It would be awesome to also update the outdated info in kernel tree
/Documentation/ldm.txt (which points to linux-ntfs site that is now tuxera
and that apparently only deals with the fs itself but not the underlying
devices...)
Many thanks!
