Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3401725 By: nobody Hmmm... the reason I asked the question is because ntfsresize gave me an error message "Error(5)" fsync error after the "syncing device" step. Now the image file is corrupt as ntfsresize --info tells me it's an invalid filesystem. Ntfsresize --info returned valid information before the attempted resize. Not sure what's actually happening, but incase it matters : before the corruption ntfsresize reported that the filesystem was marked for a consistency check and there was also bad block on the image. I'm using ntfstools shipped on Knoppix v4.02, and I'm copying to a samba share using mount.cifs.
