This is very nice but actually RIP has ntfsprogs 1.12.1-WIP.
For some reason, RIP never uses the stable releases, instead it includes the
CVS ntfsprogs which is fairly dangerous: that code is a Work-In-Progress development
version. Luckily 1.12.1-WIP on RIP 14.6 shouldn't cause any harm.
I've tried to contact the author numerous times about this issue but my emails
were always bounced back from whatever address I've tried to send them.
In short, be very careful with RIP! You may say RIP to your data one day.
Well, being said the above, I must also note, that RIP is my favourite LiveCD
for a quite long time: often releases and very up-to-date software versions
(from the CVS :)
