The kernel driver is not stored on that CVS. It is built inside the standard
Linux kernel.
Unless you use Redhat/Fedora, you should not do anything else for getting it.
(if you do, check out the RPMs page).
The kernel driver can not create and remove files yet. There is a FUSE driver
named ntfsmount, and you can get it by checking the "ntfsprogs" module from
the CVS. You will need FUSE to be enabled in your kernel if you want to use
that.
For details on how to compile ntfsprogs (with ntfsmount inside it) check
http://wiki.linux-ntfs.org/doku.php?id=howto:cvs and for details on how to use
ntfsmount check http://wiki.linux-ntfs.org/doku.php?id=ntfsmount
The FUSE driver is not yet complete, and as such, it may fail to create some
files sometimes. If you want something that will work all the time, use captive.
