I caught the mistake almost immediately and killed mke2fs, but as you can imagine, the partition is damaged. I have been looking for a method to recover data from this drive, but have not found any open source software to aid me. The linux-ntfs utilities can't mount the partition and therefore can't recover any of the data by themselves.
