While the NTFS partition on my firewire drive mounted with no problems, user permissions were denied (root was ok). Simple matter to fix fstab to allow it. But how can the changes be kept so the entries are not erased on a boot with the drive off? When they are automatically added back in the changes are no longer present. I would expect that they shouldnt be erased. But occationally they are.
