The first time I've written about it here: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-ntfs-dev&m=108401439420179&w=2 In the last 17 months I've got 5-6 such reports and thankfully recently I got two such NTFS images for development so I can add the needed support soon, when I have enough spare time. If you are willing to contribute by providing additional such NTFS metadata image then that would be also highly valuable. The compressed metadata is usually 0.5-3 MB and 'man ntfsclone' or the above URL tells how to create and compress it (note, most recent tar's, versions 1.14+, have a very serious bug that corrupts data thus just pure bzip2 is recomended for compression).
