The redhat autoupdater in FC3 updated my kernel to the 2.6.10-1.770_14.rhfc3.at
kernel and now I cannot get the rpm for the 770 kernel to work. I am trying
to build my own so that I can make it work that way, but when I do the build-2.6
****** process it seems to just sit on the make process forever. Here is a screen
capture of what is occuring:
[root@McG6201E-sadams-L ntfs]# ./build-2.6 kernel-module-ntfs.spec
kernel-2.6.10-1.770_FC3.src.rpm i686
Using: kernel-module-ntfs.spec
Building modules for kernel: 2.6.10-1.770_FC3
Extracting source rpm... done
Preparing kernel source... done
Building: i686
make distclean... done
make oldconfig... done
building for installed kernel... no
have kernel binary rpm... no
have kernel devel rpm... no
make...
It has been at this point for about 45 minutes as of my posting this message,
I am going to let it continue. Is this normal or is something hung up. Thanks
for the help and if I get this to work I will contribute the rpm.
