I am using Fedora 3 and successfully mounted a ntfs partition with the package kernel-module-ntfs-2.6.9-1.667-2.1.20-0.rr.3.3.i686.rpm following the website instructions. I have not been able to figure out how to modify the text file boot.ini in the ntfs partition however with VIM. The rpm info does not clearly state if this package was compiled with the write option enabled. All the forum notes and web instructions seem to indicate modifying this file should be possible. Have I misunderstand the limited write capabilities? Is there something more I need to do?
