Well that makes sense as to why I could not burn the image using k3b(can burn
dvds). I am trying to create and burn on the fly an image from 18gb of data
that resides on a 20gb drive. So in this situation there is not enough hd space
unfortunately.
Yes, I can see the two partitions (NTFS PRIMARY - 18gb & FAT16 DELL DIAGNOSTIC
- 35 mb) automatically in Knoppix. If I do not need an RPM for Knoppix does
that mean there is absolutely no way to use the NTFSCLONE tool ? If it can still
be used in Knoppix, what is the process please?
When I try to install NTFSPROGS in Knoppix it asks for a root password which
does not exist using Knoppix Live CD. I tried blank and also "password" and
also the administrator pw to the NTFS partition for the hck of it. No luck.
Do you know other Live CD solutions which will perfmit me to use ntfsclone?
Does this exist? A physical installation of Linux is not an option. It appears
that NTFSCLONE has the ability to burn directly to disk cd/dvd. Is this correct?
This is what I really need to do!
Thanks for the tips Yuval.. Try not to laugh too hard when reading this... like
I meantioned.. 2 1/2 days linux experience now! lol..
Mike
