Apparently you use the rewritten, version 2 NTFS driver. I've seen this error
message previously from other users as well. Unfortunately the driver doesn't
log why it thinks it's not NTFS.
Could you please run ntfsmeta -d /dev/hda9 if it reports any problem and what
it is? ntfsmeta is at
http://mlf.linux.rulez.org/mlf/ezaz/ntfsmeta.gz
BTW, it's completely possible to have ext2 or any other filesystems on an NTFS
(or on most other) partition type. This could happen if you accidentaly formatted
your NTFS to be ext2. You can check filesytem types of the mounted partitions
e.g. by 'mount' or 'df -T'.
