Hi,

The message is rather long, and I don't want the 
format scrambled.  Please see the following URL:

Bottom line, I got ntfsprogs working on big-endian
sparc hardware+Solaris 8.  Only a few tweaks, and 
one tiny bug found.  I also explain WHY I wanted
ntfsprogs on SPARC/Solaris.
