> You can't copy NTFS without losing dat
I will use XP xcopy. Are you quite sure this will lose data?
yes, enlarge
My "resize message" was incorrect, it was
"Apparently the NTFS partition is hibernated. Windows must be resumed and\n"
"turned off properly, thus resizing will be possible later on.\n";
As i said, I rebooted XP, ran chkdsk just in case, shut down XP normally, rebooted
Knoppix. Same error message.
The only curent problem is the -H & -S options being rejected by mkntfs and
messages of the form:
"XXXX not specified for %s and it "
"could not\nbe obtained automatically."
" Setting it to 0. This will cause "
"Windows not to\nbe able to boot from "
"this volume.\n",
Stop the Presses!!
The error comes from the following line in mkntfs.c:
while ((c = getopt(argc, argv, "c:fh?np:qs:vz:CFTIL:QVl")) != EOF)
easy to fix unless some knowledgable person decided these options should not
be used.
anyone know if they are OK to use?
