Because Fedora haven't released any athlon-optimised kernels.
Use this to see which rpm you need:

  rpm -q --qf "%{arch}\n" kernel-smp

(single processor users replace kernel-smp with kernel)

Hi Richard, tnx for the reply, in the shell "rpm -q --qf "%{arch}\n" kernel-smp"
command result "i686", but the last month i already try to install the file
"kernel-ntfs-smp-2.6.5-1.358.i686.rpm" and the result fail.
I'm confused.
