Or is there no need in= a > RedHat LAN ? You can have centralized authentication using LDAP or NIS. IIRC, both are covered in the Radhat Official Guides (Reference and Customization). Kerberos might also do what you want, but I'm not quite sure, since I've never used it. In any case, I think the biggest issue you will face is migrating user logins with their passwords.
