And then again, if you have a simple ipchains ruleset, I can just give you the equivalent iptables rules (that is, if iptables support is compiled into your kernel). Sure it will work, but you're going to have to make a couple modifications to make it work with ipchains. And since I haven't used ipchains in a while, you'll have to know what rule you need. Are you familiar with C at all? What needs to be changed is the commands that add the portmappings and delete the portmappings in pmlist.cpp. The relevant functions are addPortForward and deletePortForward. You'll notice in the sprintf commands in each of these is the iptables command with variables to fill in to the command for iptables's arguments. All you have to do is replace what's in the "'s with the ipchains equivalent command to add a port forward using all the variables I've used there. The deletePortForward command is simply exactly like the add command except delete (obviously). If you need help, just drop me another email. I'm in the process of putting a make definition to let it install the ipchains version as well. I'll let you know when it's done, but in the meantime, you should be able to just change those lines. > -----Original Message----- > From: lin...@li... > [mailto:lin...@li...] On Behalf > Of Jorge Buchmann > Sent: Thursday, May 16, 2002 11:59 PM > To: lin...@li... > Subject: [Linux-igd-help] Voice on MSN over Gateway 0.71 > > > Hi. > > Today I install linux-igd 0.71 over a SuSE 7.2 Server (Kernel 2.4.4GB) > > I follow instructions of README and INSTALL, d/l, modify & > compile upnpsdk 1.0.4, then make and make install of igd and > set route tables for multicast. > > Only thing I'm .NOT. using yet are iptables, I still using > ipchains due no time at all yet to learn tables :/ > > BTW forward chain is MASQeurading all internal network with > ACCEPT by default, ports > 1024 are open. > > With ps aux I see : > > root 17978 0.1 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17979 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17980 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17981 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17982 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17983 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17984 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17985 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17986 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17987 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17988 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17989 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17990 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17991 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > root 17992 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 > 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 > > eth0 is extif and eth1 the internal one. > > On windows side I'm using Windows ME, MSN 4.6 (4.6.0079) and > upnp patch for ME. Hi. Today I install linux-igd 0.71 over a SuSE 7.2 Server (Kernel 2.4.4GB) I follow instructions of README and INSTALL, d/l, modify & compile upnpsdk 1.0.4, then make and make install of igd and set route tables for multicast. Only thing I'm .NOT. using yet are iptables, I still using ipchains due no time at all yet to learn tables :/ BTW forward chain is MASQeurading all internal network with ACCEPT by default, ports > 1024 are open. With ps aux I see : root 17978 0.1 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17979 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17980 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17981 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17982 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17983 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17984 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17985 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17986 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17987 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17988 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17989 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17990 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17991 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 root 17992 0.0 0.5 28924 1360 pts/4 S 01:51 0:00 ./upnpd eth0 eth1 eth0 is extif and eth1 the internal one. On windows side I'm using Windows ME, MSN 4.6 (4.6.0079) and upnp patch for ME. Other side was MSN on XP. (unknow) I try also to send a file and was impossible too. As I don't know the theory of how this suppose to work I really don't know what to do or modify. Any help or idea would be welcome. Thanks -- , , / \ | Jorge D. Buchmann | jbu...@in...
