Would microseconds be more appropriate? They are pretty intuitive for me. When stuffing microseconds into an unsigned 32-bit int you can represent time intervals up to a little over an hour. This is probably long enough for most things people do with kernel schedulers. If someone is scheduling events for more than an hour in the future, they're probably using cron, not HLS! John |
