"Embedded blocks not aligned with wrapper" - Panther HFS+
Status: Inactive

Using a 120gb drive plugged into the EIDE bus on my
computer. It was partitioned and formatted under Panther
using HFS+ and is visible under /proc/partitions as hdb and
hdb1 .. hdb9. hdb9 is the largest partition, all the rest are
very small.
Attempting to mount hdb9, which I believe is the correct
one, results in the message "HFS+-fs: embedded blocks not
aligned with wrapper", followed by "Unable to find HFS+
superblock" and a failed mount. Attempts to mount any of
the other partitions or the raw disk simply return "Unable to
find HFS+ superblock". The raw disk and hdb9 mount okay
using the hfs driver ("Where did all my files go?").

I'm experiencing the same problem:
120 Gb IDE HD
hdb9 is HFS+ with Jaguar, mounts correctly in OSX
I've added a printk showing blocksize and blockoffset, in
case this may be useful: blockoffset=14749, blocksize=4096.
Another smaller HFS+ partition works just fine in the same
system.
