#3 Keithley model 181 Nanovoltmeter hangs up

Hi,
would someone know how to use a Keithley model 181
Nanovoltmeter.

I can get one reading, then the bus hangs-up to the
point that I have to reboot the computer!

This is an old meter, the manual is dated: June 1980.
It could be that some handshake lines should be
disabled. How to do that?

I also have many Keithley model 196 mteters (January
1988). They work very well!
