Hi Dave, I was premature in saying that the Agilent 82357B had healed itself. I was able to read the calibration data from the HP3478A with two different scripts. So far so good. Then I got back to thinking about doing the ohms zero calibration and the HP3478A was ignoring the front panel reset command so I unplugged the Agilent 82357B from the computer. This got me back to local control. When I plugged the Agilent 82357 back into the computer I'm back to having the original problem. I did a few more repetitions of unplugging and plugging in the 82357 and the failure case is much more likely than the working case. I'm trying to workout a pattern. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the order I powered things on. I would understand if you are ready to write this off as flaky hardware. Jim Houston |
