One last thing. When i compiled the kernel source I left the 
EXTRAVERSION in the makefile empty. The first time i installed the 
drivers and entered as EXTRAVERSION -24- (3.16.7-24-desktop) and after 
the installation i had a new folder in /lib/modules/ with a wrong 
version number (3.16.7-24-24-desktop).
