[Linux-gpib-general] ibchk hangs

Dear linux-gpib gurus,
    I have recently installed
a gpib card in my PC (PCIIA).
I am using the linux-gpib
package, version 3.1.0. The
installation went smoothly
until it came to testing the
card with the ibchk utility.
When running this program
I obtain the following:

** First checkingyour config
file ....   OK
** Check Errlog...          OK

** Next Check The river ....
OK
** Check if board present ....
OK

and then the program hangs
prior to the testing of bus
functions. If anyone could
help out I would appreciate
it.
