I still lift hooks for the old api. At present both apis can exist at the
same time. I didn't want to break every fbdev driver at one time.

The PPC stuff I can't help you with. Is this with the PPC tree as well? 
At present 2.5.11 is really broken. I expect 2.5.12 to be much better once
all the fixes go in.
