Hello all! after the brief flurry of activity in regards to making hardware acceleration standardized for /dev/fb, things seemed to have stopped (mailwise). to assist in advancing/standardizing development of this, we've set up a twiki (web-based collaborative discussion environment) for discussions of updating fb to standardize acceleration and other hardware access. there isn't much there now, but we have plans, and i'm sure you all do too. we would really like to see this materialize. The added functionality would greatly enhance future applications and and standardized interface would make coding drivers for it relatively easy. at the moment, the server hosting the twiki is very low powered, and chokes under the stress of twiki, but we will be upgrading the server in the next few weeks. hope to see y'all there :^) chris |
