[Linux-fbdev-devel] TV-OUT on ATI Rage 3D Pro?!

Hello all,

I'm desperately trying to get my ATI Rage Pro VGA card to work with my TV 
set via the card's  built-in TV-OUT connector. The standard Linux text mode 
works fine but if I use the frame buffer driver, the screen will just 
flicker. I think this is due to a wrong mode configuration in /etc/fb.modes 
(if I understand thing correctly, I have to know at least the dot clock of 
my TV?!). I live in Germany, so my TV supports only PAL mode and runs at 50 
Hz (compared to 60 Hz for NTSC). The card supports 50 Hz because it works 
fine in text mode but I haven't been able to figure out the correct 
settings for /etc/fb.modes. Can anyone help me? Is PAL mode supported by 
the atyfb driver at all?
