I'm working with an arch that uses the sa1100fb and has seperate
hardware to control the backlight power, intensity, and brightness. I
realize there are many boards out there that have a backlight that is
associated with their framebuffer (in the case of LCD's).
I was wondering how to best implement userspace control of the
backlight. Should there be new fd ioctl's? Should there be a proc
interface? Should the backlight get its own major or minor and be
conmpletely seperate from the framebuffer?
