I'm trying to run XFree86 across a pair of Asiliant 69030's using a
fbdev driver. This is on a PowerPC system with a 2.4.4 kernel, running X
4.0.2 out of Debian testing.
The fbdev driver is working, to the point where I can run ggi programs
on each screen. When I start the X server, it disables the memory
regions of the two graphics chips, making them inacessible to all
applications including the X server. I've tried to use the BusID line to
tell it not to clobber these devices, but it won't be stopped.
My current thought is to get the X server source and hack out all the
PCI code, but if anybody has a better idea I'd like to know.
