I don't know how distros build their kernels, but I seem to remember hearing that the Red Hat kernels shipped with a broken DECnet simply because they had enabled all the options rather than actually reading what they meant :-) This may have been the case with earlier SuSE kernels but I can't say for sure. Thanks for letting us know though, it's worth knowing things like that for future reference. -- patrick |
