[Linux-decnet-user] dnping: Write: Transport endpoint is not connected

Help please! Extreme newby here.

I'm trying to setup phprms. But even before that, I thought it would
be important to just test some basic connectivity. So I set out to run
the dnping, but received the following errors:

cortez root # dnping 1.103
Write: Transport endpoint is not connected
cortez root # dnping 1.1
Write: Transport endpoint is not connected
cortez root #

I have a Gentoo Linux box with decnet compiled as a module.
The module is loaded.
We've set the MAC address to: AA:00:04:00:67:04
and our node number is: 1.103

and here is the relavent info from our decnet.conf file:

Can anyone please help? I've done some searches in google
for the error message, but it appears to be fairly generic and
common message. I've also read the FAQ, and haven't yet found
anything. Any ideas would be extremely appreciated.
