On either OS, it can access an Ethernet device and make it look like a PDP11 Ethernet controller. I've done this on Windows, long ago. If I remember right, it's done using "packet driver" -- it's in the documentation. That worked fine. For my own use I found it more convenient to have everything on a single system, so the Linux version of E-11 with the Ethertap simulated Ethernet is better for my needs. paul |
