Hello, I have my 2.4.0-???(caldera preview) up and running decnet in modular form. (first time). I had "lo" only in my /proc/net/decnet_device I realized the module needed loading, at which point was too late, since the entire boot was completed. I added "decnet" to my /etc/modules.default and rebooted, tested dnping successfully.
