I can confirm that the CPM in the 8560 is the same as in the 8260. The 8260 and 8560 differ in CPU core (e300 and e500 PPC) rather than CPM. That is the reason why in kernel 2.4.26 and onwards the kernel directory "arch/ppc/8260_io/" got renamed to "arch/ppc/cpm2_io/" For some reason - unclear to me - these updates have not yet been ported to the 2.6.x kernels. I have the 8260atm driver from Peter Mccormick integrated in the "arch/ppc/cpm_io" directory and it is working on my 8260 based board.
