Hello, I was just exchanging emails with the maintainer of the acl.bestbits.at patches, he suggested I check here. I am looking for a place to work on NT-style ACLs ( mostly I would like to add the ability to "take ownership" to the standard POSIX ACL featureset ). Just wondering if anyone is working on this, or whether this would be acceptable as a compile-time option. I'd rather merge my changes with someone ( once I decide which patch to use :) ) and not fork it and mainting "NT ACLs for Linux" on my own, but I will if noone else wants my code :( I want this to make my Samba fileservers more feature-complete vs. NT servers, in case anyone is wondering. Personally I think "take ownership" is sortof a broken feature, but I would like to support it since that's what my clients want. Thanks, Rob |

Hey people, I was wondering about two things: - Is this project related to the one at http://acl.bestbits.at/ - Has a move been made to integrate these ACL's into the main linux = kernel development? This would definitely be another big step towards maturity for Linux = IMHO...
