I;m trying to open some xenix file formatted disks on my
linux system. It's a Red Hat V8. I've recompiled the
kernel, linux-2.4-20, for it to understand the xenix files.
after compling i put the disk in and it still can't
understand. Do i have to this abi to make it work, and if i
do have to put it in. is it easy to install

this is what happens after i type the mount command
# mount -t sysv /dev/fd1 /mnt/floppy1
(note i try using xenix instead of sysv, but the system
couldn't understand xenix, so i put sysv)

VFS:unable to find oldfs superblock on device fd(2,1)
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock
on /dev/fd1, or too many mounted file systems

Th floppy disk is perfectly fine when i put it on the
original xenix system
