at least some ugly, piano - only soundfont, Or make the internal sinth depend on timidity and just launch it when the internal sinth is selected.
It's still a nightmare to configure correctly timidity (at least in ubuntu). You can't demonize it by default because per user - pulse audio session prevents it from working.
A script that launches "timidity -iAD" before linthesia solves this issue, but anyway this should be for clueless users.
