No user doc showed up when installing linsmith. The compile and install seemed to complete successfully. My question is: How is linsmith used? I seem to be missing the basic constructs.
How are sources generated?
What is the difference between a load and a circuit?
Can a load be placed and the end of a transmission line?
Can a load at the end of a transmission line be calculated by the impedance measured at the other end? i.e. source?
Sorry to be so basic. Thanks Dan kb0qil

Sorry for the confusion. This is the first time I wanted to distribute the document as a PDF alone and I seem to have forgotten to include the PDF. I will add the doc to this release separately.

Dan,
Sorry for the confusion. This is the first time I wanted to distribute the document as a PDF alone and I seem to have forgotten to include the PDF. I will add the doc to this release separately.
Meanwhile, would you mind consulting:
http://www.jcoppens.com/soft/linsmith/tutor.en.php
(tutorial on how to use the linSmith program)
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/linsmith/manual.pdf?download
(Separate manual available on Sourceforge).
The manual is quite up-to-date, but I will upload the latest version and add it to the 0.9.2 release.
Thanks for your message!
John
Hi Dan.
Tha manual (manual.pdf) is already included in the latest package, but it does not get installed automatically.
Please check, in the original tar.gz, in the doc directory. I'll add some code, so it will install itself the next time.
