make failure on installation

Hello; I installed the down loaded file into /home/barry/LinPac and unpacked with tar.
I cd to linpac-20.0
./configure went OK but when I issued make it responded;
**** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop

I noticed something about installing from /home but I normally use /home/barry/<progname>
Should that be a problem ?
Using Debian 6.0

Hello Barry,

That's strange.. are you sure that ./configure actually worked? Per the README in the .tgz, try the following and let us know if that helped:

autoreconf --install ./configure make
