Linmark 0.3 has been released! This is a program for measuring the performance of various aspects of Linux-based machines. It is a great tool for people tweaking their computer for the most speed! This release fine tunes the existing tests, and adds a completely new module with several tests. It also begins a shared library to allow new front ends to be written which can provide extended functionality.

Linmark now tests how fast drives can be read to and written from. There is also a very functional plugin system that will make it easy for other tests to be created. However, Linmark needs people to use it and give feedback so that improvements can be made. Check it out at http://linmark.sourceforge.net/

Linmark is a program benchmarks various aspects of your computer. It currently tests Integer speed, Floating Point speed, and Memory speed, and more tests will be coming soon.
