Configuration of LINKUp

Mitch Winkle

The initial configuration of LINKUp is quite simple. The user need only to enter a valid call sign into the field provided on the Config tab and then click the Save button.

There is a field provided for Name/Tactical Call. You may enter one here, but at the time of this writing, it is not used in programmed operations in any way.

There is a field provided for Grid. You may enter one here, but at the time of this writing, it is not used in programmed operations in any way.

If you wish to beaon periodically, set the Beacon Interval to an integer representing the minutes between intervals. A setting of "0" disables the beacon. It may be changed at any time and if the Save button is used, this stops, reconfigures and restarts the beacon with the new interval.

XMLRPC

The XMLRPC IP address and port number should be left alone, becuase they correspond to values which are the defaults in FLDIGI. If you change either of these two values, they MUST MATCH those on the FLDIGI IO configuration tab.

PATHS

The PATHS area allows the user to specify alternate paths for where files will be found and/or stored during semi-automatic operations. Unless you have an overwhelming need to manage files in a different directory structure (a network file system perhaps), it is recommeded to leave these values at their defaults, which correspond to the directories provided in the installation ZIP archive.
