Hi there, I have started to port linkt to kde3. Unfortunally a made a little mistake when checking in into cvs. Therefore the linkt_0_7_0 branch is the work-in-progress kde3-branch and the new linkt3 branch is the kde2 branch. I am trying to repair this soon. The port to kde3 doesn't compile right now, but i am working on it. I'll stay you informed. 73 hp -- Hans-Peter Zorn 0721/1307-356 Willy-Andreas Allee 3 hp...@gm... It should work (in a compatible way to diebox) if we send a \r between
the recipient and the subject. in linkt/gpg.cpp, line 357:
if (strReplyComment.isEmpty() && cmbType->currentText() != "none")
{
text = cmbType->currentText() + " " + edBoard->text();
if (!edMbx->text().isEmpty())
text += " @ " + edMbx->text();
if (!edLt->text().isEmpty())
text += " #" + edLt->text();
text += " \r" + edSubject->text(); //<--- note the \r here
}
else
...
I didn't test it.

Hi, FBB's send command is different from BayBox/DieBox/DPBox and therefore incompatible with LinKTs GnuPG-TX. Should be trivial to fix though. -hp |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello Phil, I am not quite sure what you are doing. LinKT has two GnuPG components. First is the verification of signed messages which are received by LinKT, i.e. messages that are already in the mailbox. By default, these are checked automatically, but this can be switched off in the configuration. Second is the possibility of signing own messages. This is accomplished with the GnuPG-TX icon. I believe it was added in a 0.6.3preX version and was not available in the KDE1 versions. In the GnuPG-TX dialog the big text area in the middle is for the message you wish to send. The top row lets you add a SEND command for the BBS (or switch it off). You can import an (unsigned!) message from your harddrive with the IMPORT... button. When you have completed editing your text, press the SEND button and LinKT will ask you for your GnuPG-keyphrase. This will be passed on to GnuPG, which will sign your message. Finally, LinKT will send out the SEND command plus your signed(!) message plus a "mail end" sequence. If the BBS starts to interprete lines inside your message, then something with the SEND command must have gone wrong. Since it can be added by LinKT, you do not have to give it to the BBS manually. Of course, you may not put any mail enders (like Ctrl-Z, /EX, ...) inside your message. If you have put one in the GnuPG-TX box, this is wrong! Everything inside this box will be signed. A signature is only checked, when you *receive* a signed message. Upon sending a message with GnuPG-TX, a signature is *generated*, not *checked*. I have no idea where yor "bad signature" warning comes from. Of course, if you read your own sent message in the BBS afterwards, a correct and trusted signature has to be detected. If this did not help, please post another message here. Was your QSO copy complete? If not, please save the whole connection with your BBS and include it here. Also, please state the excact version of LinKT you are using (0.6.99 versions contain a date, e.g. 0.6.99-010610 for June 10, 2001). 73, Robert DL1NC/N9KBK -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> iQA/AwUBO1P/SKOGvK2psFHfEQIKdQCglc9/QrBcGPPEgi9lwOFLhRSnTqsAoLDP F+OvToVxDAOpa/qWb29CdxSp =3D+XS4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Hello All, I don't know if I have misunderstood the purpose of GnuPG-TX or maybe the function is not working correctly in the KDE 2 version. In any case, if I attempt to post a message the BBS (FBB) tries to interpret the contents of the message as commands. Also, the bad signature warning may be cause for concern as well. Other than the mail not working I am quite happy with Linkt. This is typically what happens when I attempt to send mail. Hi Gimmi!
root setzt bei mir mittlerweile in seiner .profile die Variablen
KDEDIR=3D/opt/kde2
QTDIR=3D/usr/lib/qt2
MOC=3D$QTDIR/bin/moc
export KDEDIR QTDIR MOC
Danach reicht ein
./configure
bzw.

= Siehe rpm.out. 73, Robert -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> iQA/AwUBOxy4tqOGvK2psFHfEQKgGQCeJTcHmDMvlhI+0F0WMpyEtVYCSZEAn01C 1Pz9ht+2UeVn0rTXS9lgkrRL =NO7z -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Hi! :-( Danke! -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello to the list (esp. to Jochen and Saege, who are receiving a Bcc), some people have had problems compiling LinKT 0.6.99 after they installed KDE 2.0 on SuSE 7.0 (including me). "make" complained about not being able to find the include file "kaudioserver.h", which was in /opt/kde2/include when a KDE2-pre-release (up to RC2) was installed. All reports showed that these people used the KDE packages for SuSE 7.0 on ftp.kde.org (or a mirror). Well, these packages only gave me headaches, first I manually added the qt2 source package (having to compile the moc binary etc.), then I finally checked ftp.suse.com and retrieved the KDE 2.0.1 packages compiled by SuSE. These seem to be ok (at last!). So if you are using SuSE (7.0) and want to install KDE 2, download the 2.0.1 packages directly from SuSE, not from kde.org. BTW, there have been some noticable bug-fixes between the 2.0 and 2.0.1 release. Merry xmas & so on... Hi, Ok, the newest snapshot is ftp://1409.org/pub/linkt/linkt-0.6.99-001211.tar.gz and not 001122-3 as I claimed some minutes ago. This version has some bugfixes and the possibility to send a pgp-keys by call. AND it should include all necessary files now. At least I hope so. Report problems concerning packaging (missing files and such) to me, program bugs to Jochen. 73s, Hans-Peter -- Hans-Peter Zorn, Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uhsm/ hp...@gm... The latest is linkt-0.6.99-001122-3.tar.gz (this one includes the icons which were missing in the -2 release, otherwise it is the same). Hi Jack, LinKT with RedHat 6.2 should be no problem at all, there are many people running it with this configuration. Which version do you try to get running and where do you get into problems? Sorry for the late reply, i am a little bit busy lately. Hopefully we will have rpms for RH7 of LinkT 0.7.0, an OM from Poland has made some, but he has some problems with MonKT which we will have to resolve first. 73 Hans-Peter -- Hans-Peter Zorn, Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uhsm/ hp...@gm... I am not sure that the eval-version has KDE2 on it. I grabbed the KDE 2.0.1 RPMs for SuSE7.0/PC from a ftp.kde.org-mirror and installed them with YaST, which actually is giving me problems right now... I can't find the qt-2.2.2 includes. Well, let's see what happens when I re-install qt-2.2.1. > Jochen mentioned that the new KDE2 version of LinKT is > in the CVS. Can someone please explain how to > download > it please. Hmm... please check sourceforge.net for the exact syntax. You want anonymous access ("pserver") for the linkt.sourceforge.net CVS, the branch is called branch_0_7_0. This requires you to have the client program "cvs" installed and internet access on your linux box. The syntax should be somthing like "cvs -z3 - -d:pserver:linkt.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/linkt co -r branch_0_7_0", later "... update -d" without the "-r ..." (my memory is bad on that one...). 73, Robert DL1NC -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> iQA/AwUBOjenoqOGvK2psFHfEQKimwCfSSBjbS0iNnCKr0ItyI7jfkhbYfgAnjmI Qk1SPKHI706sWeFSdDFj1Ko1 =T0Ln -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

G'Day and thanks for reading this message..
I'm trying to get LinKT up and running under RH6.2, and am
wondering whether someone else out there may have already managed to get it
working, or that it is somewhat a lost cause for the moment.??
Wouold much appreciated any replies, and happy to have
them sent to the mailing list, rather than p-message to me..!!

Hi All, I have an evaluation copy of SuSE7.0 and I am having a problem installing KDE2. I understand that if you can run yast2 it gives an option to install KDE1 or 2, or both. However, I can only run yast1 because my computer doesn't auto boot the cd and I must run setup from dos to install SuSE. I am keen to run KDE2 to use the latest version of LinKT which Jochen has kindly altered to run BOXCHECK with my homebbs which uses fbb. Jochen mentioned that the new KDE2 version of LinKT is in the CVS. Can someone please explain how to download it please. This one _should_ find the right kde-includes. Otherwise try rm config.cache;KDEDIR=/opt/kde2 ./configure --with-kde-headers=/opt/kde2 And if _that_ doesnt work, try to rename /opt/kde (the old kde1) temporary, then rm config.cache;./configure. Do not forget to change the name back to /opt/kde otherwise old kde apps won't work anymore. 73s Hans-Peter -- Hans-Peter Zorn, Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uhsm/ hp...@gm...
