I stumbeld over an iPhone software, that "allows you to control any software and hardware capable of TCP/OP and UDP communication". http://www.commandfusion.com/
I was thinking if it's possible to create a GUI with iViewer and connect it with Linknx. Before I start, I wanted to know if anybody has looked into this before? As far as I understand KnxWeb communicated via TCP/IP with Linknx - so it should be possible to use another software/toolkit to communicate with Linknx.

I didn't know commandfusion, but I am searching for a EIB/KNX - GUI for the iPhone.
I tried to make a linknx-GUI for iPhone and other smartphones with jqtouch. I think it is an interesting approach, but I gave up, since I have no skills in programming html, php and javascript. The upcoming jQuery Mobile will be an good way, too.
Best regards

I looked a little closer at Commandfusion. The good thing about it is, that it is a native app - so response will be immediate, e.g. when you use a slider for dimming. I'm not sure if a webapp like Jqtouch can handle this. Also use can use multitouch gestures with CF - multitouch gestures definitly won't work with webapps.
What I don't like about CF is that it comes without a standard theme - so you need to create all UI elements by hand. Also I haven't looked into the CF SDK yet - this is needed to programm the CF - Linknx connection.

Quick question, Is anybody of you using Blackberry?
I recently discovered, that BB development is not too hard.
(Blackberry can use knxweb already via the browser interface - but having a "native" Java UI is probably faster and more convenient)
Thanks for feedback, best Regards, Jens

Jqtouch looks nice. I might give it a try.
