Finally the first release candidate for LinkBase 3.0 is finished.
It is available in the download section and the demo site is now using
the new version. Download it or try it out under
http://linkbase.sourceforge.net
And of course, tell me what you think of it, especially if you encounter
problems (or want to praise me:-)
The most important changes are:
- You can upload files and create a file gallery with linkbase
- You can edit topics
- You can quickly submit a page to LinkBase using a special bookmark
- You have (brasilian) portuguese and turkish translations thanks to
Carlisson Galdino resp. Emre Saglam
See CHANGELOG for a list of all the new features.
One word of caution: Do not yet update your production installation of
older versions. Rather test this version and tell me if it works. There
might still be some bug in this release which could be a security risk
or mix up your database.
Help is needed!
Do you speak Russian, Spanish or Norvegian? Then you could update the
language files, because those translations are missing the newer strings.
Do you know how to handle multilanguage and encoding problems in php?
There seem to be problems with posting links and some characters.
