the original teamstream rails app could be used initially but ideally all of its functionality (including cross-server polling) would become libninjam MPB_* type client/server messages - so even if the rails app is used during development i suggest reworking the protocol to conform to the ninjam messaging protocol per ninjam/mpb.h
