lineakd -vv will show in its output whether or not the plugin loaded. I'd say it's a pretty good guess that your plugin did not load, but only the debugging output will tell you why. (If you just did some sort of upgrade maybe you have a version mismatch between the plugin and lineakd. They need to be at the same revision to work.)
