Hello,
I'm using my PODxt & line6usb driver (& ardour) for more than three months. All have been working perfectly on my old desktop (ubuntu 7.04), but now I must use a newer laptop PC (acer 9420, ubuntu 7.10). Since I've changed my computer, some strange noise (like when you move your jack connector) is continuously taking place when I play/record music (is not a jackd problem: it happens all the time... for example, when I use an mp3 player with alsa support). I've tried the 0.7.2 and 0.7.3 driver version, with the same results. I've recompiled the driver with the debug mode enabled, and I can see these messages on dmesg/syslog:
...

are they common messages? could they be related to my problem?
I also show a lspci output (maybe it is related to my usb controller...):

Thanks a lot!

I'm using the TonePort GX and I'm also experiencing noise on Ubuntu 10.04. There is no noise when I play softly, but as soon as I hit the strings hard the noise kicks in, a really loud noise which makes playing unpleasant.
