I Am trying to run LINE in Palladio bench on windows (10) and linux ubuntu, but when I Select the PCM Solver Feature, and click Next to complete the installation process, I always get the same result "cannot complete the install becouse one or more required item could not be found ".
please advise me.
Hi Tasabeeh,
Thanks for your interest in LINE.
So that I can repropude your situation, could you please let me know which version of Palladio Bench are you using, and whether you installed it from the eclipse marketplace or downloaded the full .zip from the Palldio website? If you installed eclipse first, which version of eclipse are you using?
Thanks,
Juan

Sorry for the late reply. I installed Palladio 4.0 and it executed LINE well.
But I see you are attempting to install the PCM solver feature as indicated in the instructions.
The problem here is that the instructions were written for Palladio 3.5, although this is not explicitly stated. In Palladio 4.0 LINE is natively supported so there is no need to install the PCM Solver Feature. After unzipping PCM, if you go to Run -> Run Configurations, double click on PCM Solver to generate a new instance, and go to the Solver tab, you should be able to see the LINE option already in the drop-down menu.
Please let me know if this solution works.
I will update the instructions to differentiate PCM 3.5 from PCM 4.0.
Thanks,
Juan
