Sorry that I didn't send anything before, but I had a pretty busy week, so I only managed to bring my ideas and thoughts to "paper" tonight. As it would be too late to send it to others for review, I just send it to everyone. It is work in progress anyway, so nothing final, nothing made out of stone. It should be a base to start discussion. It is my initial point of view, so I would like to receive your input: different ideas, criticism, amendments, etc. There are a few things that might be different to what the Limers are currently used to. If you don't like it, you don't want to follow this path, it is fine with me. But I would like you to be open and think honestly about it. If you then still really don't like it: yell at me, send me your opinions, your improvements, whatever! But think about it. Now is the time to make real changes. Once LS2 is established, major changes to wording and structure will not be possible anymore. I think what is most important: we have to use a clear and specific language. The different "areas" of LS2 have to be clearly seperated. Wording is not fixed. But I think the terms I am using are quite clear. However, there are often 2-3 terms that would describe the different areas quite well, but we probably could use a different wording as well. So, read through it (10 pages with not too much content, so it should be done quite fast). As I couldn't figure out how to add this to the wiki, I just send a link: http://www.rothemund.org/limesurvey_appstructure_090626a.pdf So this should be the base for tomorrows discussion! See you there. Holger |

Sorry I wasn't able to make the UI meeting this morning (dhardisty and myself are trying to alternate Saturdays). I"ll look through the chat transcript and the PDF and come up with some comments to mail out this week. Jon. I added my comments to the UI Meeting #4 wiki page at http://www.docs.limesurvey.org/tiki-index.php?page=UI+Meeting+4+(27th+June). @Everyone: Please take a look at the proposal (see http://www.rothemund.org/limesurvey_appstructure_090626a.pdf) and add your comments to the wiki. Holger did some great work but feedback is really disappointing so far (so is participation at our regular UI meetings each Saturday). So please share your opinions! Furthermore I have started a new LS2 user feedback thread in the forum to ask our users for feedback. Unfortunately many posts at the LS2 section were lost because of the database problems a week ago. See http://www.limesurvey.org/en/support/forums/11-limesurvey-2x/27458-limesurvey-2-design-and-user-interface-feedback.html#27458 for more details. Dear all! I just a little reminder: the next UI meeting is coming closer. So far I have only comments from Mazi on the wiki. @Juhan: Sorry, but I didn't understand some of your comments. Would be great if you could make it to the meeting on Saturday, so that we can discuss them. Probably easier than sending emails. So see/speak you all on Saturday. ;-) Best regards, Holger On Mon, Jun 29, 2009 at 12:22 PM, Marcel Minke (Limesurvey) < mar...@li...> wrote: > I added my comments to the UI Meeting #4 wiki page at > http://www.docs.limesurvey.org/tiki-index.php?page=UI+Meeting+4+(27th+June)<http://www.docs.limesurvey.org/tiki-index.php?page=UI+Meeting+4+%2827th+June%29> > . > > @Everyone: Please take a look at the proposal (see > http://www.rothemund.org/limesurvey_appstructure_090626a.pdf) and add > your comments to the wiki.
