For LimeSurvey 2, we're following a few high-level interface design guidelines
* Let data scream
* Reality Bites
* Prototype like crazy
* Pixel Perfect
* Bitch! Loud and often
* Eat your own dog food
* Date your users
* Grid it
* Type less + less type
* Color carefully
* What interface?
* Repeat customers ROCK
* Deja vu all over again
We presented this idea at the O'Reilly Ingite Boston last Thursday (only my
email address was LimeSurvey-related; no product pitches were allowed). The
slides are available here in PDF, PPT, and Keynote formats:
Video is coming soon.
The rough outline of the interface tenets lives here:
http://interfacedesigntenets.wikia.org. This needs LOTS of work.
We also need a solid style guide (from grid definition to type rules to button
placement, etc). Brian and I will have an early draft by the end of this month.
We're evolving the tenets and style guide. If you have any questions, comments,
or feedback, fire away.
