Penguin Day brings together nonprofit tech staff, eRiders, tech 
providers, consultants, and open source software developers for a day of 
learning and conversation.  Together, we'll demystify open source for 
nonprofits, frankly address the challenges of developing open source 
tools, and learn about specific promising open source applications for 
nonprofits.

Co-hosted by Aspiration, United Way/Teaming for Technology, and the LINC
Project of the Welfare Law Center, Penguin Day New York features a 
packed agenda of interactive workshops, round tables, and "speed geeks."

We should compare notes a bit about who we'd like to reach out to in 
terms of pitching LB to folks who we think could or should use it or 
contribute to it and getting them to Penguin Day as well.

just to follow up on this, since penguinday is nigh -- what are folks
thinking?  are folks up for meeting briefly some evening this week to
discuss our penguin day strategy?  I'd be happy to meet Thursday
evening (5 May) at my place.

Alternatively, we could do a ytalk session on dirt, or a jabber
conference, if that makes things more convenient for folks.

so i think the plan is afoot, then.  i'll be here from 7pm onwards
today, so hopefully we can get some penguinday ideas sorted out
tonight.

Mark and Jamie and i will probably be meeting here earlier (around 3pm
-- yikes that's soon!) to do some work on the LB v2 development
project for joint calendaring.  all are welcome to that as well, of
course!
