Hi all-
forgot to add...
Daniel, Mark and I had a work day last saturday. We ate rotis.
We also started a discussion about where to ultimately put the
documentation. Right now we have a good short term solution:
* All documentation is in the wiki on Amanda's server.
* Amanda wrote a script to pull the documentation from the wiki into a
single file, which is how we have a documentation snap shot on the
lightningbug web site right now.
Long term, we suggested two options:
* Permanently keep the documentation in a wiki (Amanda might not want
this to be her server - also as a group we might want this hosted on
sourceforge - all options). Advantages: easy to contribute, easy to use.
Disadvantages: hard to track versioning/link to version of code, can't
bundle with releases.
* Take the existing documentation, break it into single html files, and
add it the CVS. Advantagese: one system for code and documentation, easy
to track versions. Disadvantages: hard to get other people to contribute
to it.
What are people's thoughts?
